Experiencing biodiversity and ecosystem services
In our view, it is firstly a matter of demonstrating the possibilities and inviting people to experience the preserved and established ecosystems.
- Is the area located along publicly accessible paths, in areas relevant for tourism or local recreation, or is it included in guided tours?
- Can pictures on the condition and development of the site be found? This is especially relevant if an on-site experience is not possible or advisable from a nature conservation point of view.
- A very good way is certainly to invite people to a site visit. It can also be taken as an opportunity to provide more information on the background, the necessary measures and the people involved.
